Our client has a lovely lake home in a natural setting, so we helped them continue that natural feel in the guest bathroom. The tile on the shower walls is Calacatta, a high definition ink jetted tile that resembles marble. The floor of the shower looks like individually hand-set pebbles, but it’s actually a tile called Island Pebble. The top of each pebble is flat, so you get that feel of walking on a pebble-covered beach without it feeling uneven. Finally, we installed Valentino on the bathroom floor. This, too, is a ceramic tile but it looks like hardwood flooring. Valentino is great for environments where you want that hardwood look but it would just not be practical – like a bathroom. We also installed Schluter’s Kerdi waterproofing system to ensure years of problem-free use.
